- Grade 2 Registered Nurse/Midwife classification (Salary $91,842 - $103,152 pro-rata per annum)

About the role
As a General Practice Nurse, you will be supporting safe and effective clinical practice within a general practice setting. Using your skills and experience in nursing, you will provide effective evidence-based nursing care to achieve positive health outcomes. You will work closely with General Practitioners, Practice Nurses and administration support to provide holistic and quality care to individuals and families.
Within this role you will conduct diagnostic and health screening activities in consultation with the General Practitioner; complete comprehensive, holistic wellness and illness assessments using established based techniques, tools and methods. Working within a professional and ethical nursing framework, you will also be advocating for patients to enable access to required services as well as an opportunity to provide supervision and mentoring to nursing students.
Classified under the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024-2028.
About you
You will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and be a certified Nurse Immuniser. You will be skilled in clinical assessments, planning and implementation of wound care, immunisation, triage and health monitoring. Through your working experience, you possess a strong knowledge in infection control and demonstrated ability to work within the National immunisation guidelines and RACGP standards. With a passion to work within community health, your communication and interpersonal skills will be at the highest standard with the ability to effectively problem solve and take initiative. You will be resourceful and demonstrate the ability to promote optimal patience outcomes as you collaborate with various health professionals.
